The Babysitter

Pre-teen student Cole is bullied by his neighbor Jeremy, but his babysitter Bee, who is one of his only two friends, stands up for him and scares Jeremy off. The following day, when his parents go out for an overnight stay at a hotel, Bee and Cole spend quality time together until he has to go to bed. Bee offers him some liquor to drink, but he secretly pours it out when she is not looking.

Cole returns to his house to find that the evidence of the night's events had been cleaned up. He also finds Allison pretending to be dead; before she can stab Cole with a kitchen knife, Bee kills her with a police officer's shotgun. Bee explains to Cole that she was once insecure like him until she made a deal with the Devil to get whatever she wanted by sacrificing innocent people and spilling their blood on an ancient book while reciting its verses. Since then, she has been traveling from town to town, preying on young boys like him. Although she offers to let him join her cult, Cole refuses and burns the spell book. He rushes to Melanie's house to take her dad's car, and drives it into his house while Bee is distracted by the burning book. After crashing the car into her, they have one last emotional farewell before Cole climbs out of the wreckage and leaves her to die. As the police and emergency crew arrive, Cole tells his parents that he no longer needs a babysitter.

Background: In 1984, Terzis introduced the "babysitter" procedure, a new concept in facial reanimation. It involves two stages, with coaptation of ipsilateral 40 percent hypoglossal to facial nerve on the affected side, performed concomitantly with cross-facial nerve grafting and secondary microcoaptations 8 to 15 months later. This article presents the senior author's (J.K.T.) experience with the original procedure.

Methods: Of 75 patients who had minihypoglossal nerve transfer, 20 fulfilled the selection criteria for the original babysitter procedure. All patients' records, photographs, videotapes, and needle electromyography studies were reviewed. The clinical results were scored using Terzis' Grading Scale. Eye closure, smile, and lower lip depression were each assessed separately. Functional and aesthetic outcomes and preoperative and postoperative electromyography results were analyzed.

Conclusions: The original babysitter procedure offers significant improvement in selected patients with facial paralysis. Symmetry and coordinated movements can be restored, with satisfying aesthetic and functional outcomes.

While stopping for gas, Cole regains consciousness, locks Archie out of the car, and drives back to the lake to save Phoebe. In a cove, Melanie holds Phoebe hostage before Cole shows up and volunteers to be sacrificed. Bee emerges from the water and is revealed to be Phoebe's babysitter who was responsible for the car accident that killed her parents. She made a deal with the devil to save Phoebe's life in exchange for her soul.

Two years after the events of the first film, Cole is now a junior in high school. He is unable to convince anyone except for his best friend Melanie that a satanic cult led by his former babysitter Bee really tried to kill him. However, Cole finds out that his parents have enrolled him in a psychiatric school, and he escapes with Melanie alongside her new boyfriend Jimmy, and their friends Boom-Boom and Diego to join a lake party.

Bee emerges from the water and is revealed to be Phoebe's babysitter who was responsible for the car accident that killed her parents. She made a deal with the devil to save Phoebe's life in exchange for her soul. Sonya, Allison, Max, and John are resurrected again, and the four alongside Melanie drink the blood of Cole mixed with Boom-Boom's blood. However, since Cole has had sex with Phoebe, the ritual backfires and the five melt and disintegrate. Bee, who did not drink the blood, reveals that she orchestrated everything so that Phoebe and Cole could unite and defeat the cult, having had a change of heart after Cole's love confession after her initial defeat. However, since Bee is still technically a demon, she drinks the blood and disintegrates to save the two. Archie shows up and, having witnessed Bee's death, now believes what Cole said was true. As the sun comes up, Cole and Phoebe embrace in a kiss.

In THE BABYSITTER: KILLER QUEEN, Cole (Judah Lewis) is starting high school. It has been two years since he survived and defeated a satanic blood cult led by his babysitter Bee, and since that time, he has been scorned, ridiculed, and bullied for maintaining the veracity of the ordeal. His parents believe he has mental health issues, and his therapist thinks he just needs to lose his virginity. Melanie (Emily Alyn Lind), Cole's best friend and unrequited crush, is the only one who believes his story. On the same day that Cole discovers that he's going to be taken to a high school for students with psychiatric disorders, Melanie encourages Cole to skip school and go with her to a gigantic party on a nearby lake. That night, while partying on a houseboat, Cole finds that the evil forces he thought he had defeated have returned, and there are some new faces as well. With the help of a mysterious new girl in school named Phoebe, Cole must find a way to survive the night, and not be part of a blood ritual that resurrects his demonic enemies.

Two years after defeating a satanic cult led by his babysitter Bee, Cole's trying to forget his past and focus on surviving high school. But when old enemies unexpectedly return, Cole will once again have to outsmart the forces of evil.

Bee begins as a smart, funny, and charismatic babysitter who frequently watches Cole Johnson (Judah Lewis) while his parents are away. One night, he discovers that she intends on using his house and blood for a cult ritual. After fighting through the night, Cole manages to stay alive only to find everyone is back with a vengeance, two years later, in The Babysitter: Killer Queen. As the first movie comes to a close, Bee tells Cole that she sold her soul in exchange for strength and courage. In the sequel, she reveals that the deal she made with the devil was actually to save Phoebe's life. It's most likely that Bee is lying about one of these origin stories, which may be used as a set-up for a third movie.

The Babysitter created a devilish and dreamy babysitter who is seemingly intent on giving others their deepest desires in exchange for delivering their souls to the devil. However, there's no explanation as to how she became the handler of the devil's book nor is there any instance that would explain her drive towards assisting the other cult members. It could just be a sadistic behavioral characteristic but that makes Bee a simple villain; there could be so much more. If The Babysitter 3 features a central plot focused on Bee, it then has the opportunity to reveal that she may be the actual devil, the devil's right hand, or an immortal human whose punishment is to serve the devil by taking souls from the realm of the living.

The Babysitter, directed by McG, follows Cole (Judah Lewis), who is madly in love with his babysitter Bee (Samara Weaving). She's cool and awesome in all the ways Cole is not. One evening while Bee is babysitting, Cole witnesses the unthinkable. Now he must survive a night full of first kisses, first broken hearts, and first encounters with homicidal maniacs (played by Bella Thorne, Andrew Bachelor, Robbie Amell, and Hana Mae Lee).

Bee was the main antagonist of the comedy horror film The Babysitter and the redeemed anti-hero of The Babysitter: Killer Queen. She was the babysitter of Cole and Phoebe and a secret Satanist who made a deal with the devil in exchange for saving Phoebe's life. After being defeated by Cole, she disappears and emerges two years later where she orchestrates a series of events that lead to the demise of The Cult and the freedom of Cole and Phoebe.

Not much is known about Bee's early life but at some point she became the babysitter for Phoebe and she seemed to care deeply for her. When Phoebe accidentally leaves her toy rabbit at the park Bee drives her to retrieve it but along the way collide with the car of Phoebe's parents, sending them off a cliff and killing the parents.

Sometime after this, Bee becomes the babysitter of Cole and arranges with her friends to steal his blood that they'll mix with the blood of a sacrifice which can then be consumed to complete the ritual.

She went around recruiting members who were ready to do anything to get what they want, apart from working hard to attain it. They sold their souls to the Devil, killing people to get the blood of the sacrificed and innocent to complete the ritual that would provide them with the popularity they were greedy for. Bee targeted houses with a young child, becoming their babysitter, which allowed her to slip the child a sedative and quietly draw their blood. But, unlike the others, she had grown to care for Cole, just like she had loved Phoebe. When the 12-year-old Cole sadly told her that he loved her, she was reminded of all the sins she had committed for the Devil.
